Look before you order

See the dish
before you order it.

Menus tell you the name of a dish. They rarely show you what lands on the table. Tell us the restaurant, or the area you are eating in tonight, and we send you real photos of the dishes.

Free for diners. A person replies by email with the photos we have or can get, and says plainly when we have none.

How it works

From a restaurant name to photos in your inbox.

01

Tell us where you are eating

A restaurant name, a street, or just the neighbourhood and the kind of food you want.

02

We gather real photos

We look for photos of the actual dishes there: the restaurant's own, ones diners have published, and ones we arrange to be taken.

03

You order with your eyes open

We email the photos with the dish names. If we have nothing for a place yet, we tell you that instead of guessing.

Free table planner

Split the order before it arrives.

List what the table is thinking of ordering, one dish per line with its price. Add tax and tip and see what each person pays. Nothing leaves this page.

Start a line with a number and x to order more than one, like 2 x Thai iced tea 5.25.

For diners

Ask for
dish photos.

Tell us the restaurant or the area. We reply by email with real photos of the dishes we can find, labelled with their names on the menu.

If we cannot find photos for a place, we say so, and we can try to get them for a later visit.

Pricing

Free for diners. A photo menu for restaurants.

Asking us for dish photos never costs a diner anything. Restaurants pay monthly for a photo menu page: a real picture beside every dish, with a QR code for the table.

Photo menu

$12 a month

A photo menu page for one location, built from the dish photos you send us, with a table QR code and two updates a month.

Kept fresh

$39 a month

Photo menu, plus we gather or arrange photos for dishes you have none of, and update the page within a week of any menu change.

Every location

$129 a month

Kept fresh for up to three locations, with every dish photographed and dated, and a printable photo menu for each site.

Nothing is charged until you see your photo menu page and approve the plan by email. Cancel any month and keep the photos you sent us.

For restaurants

Put your menu
in pictures.

Diners decide faster when they can see the plate. Tell us about your restaurant and we reply with a plan for a photo menu: a page with a picture beside every dish and a QR code for the table.

You see the page and approve it before anything is charged.

Before you send

Questions people ask

Is it really free for diners?

Yes. Restaurants pay for photo menu pages. Asking us for photos of a place costs you nothing.

Where do the photos come from?

From the restaurant itself, from photos diners have published where we are allowed to use them, and from people we send to photograph a dish. We do not use AI-made food pictures.

How fast do you reply?

A person reads every request. We reply by email and tell you honestly whether we can get photos in time.

What if the dish looks different when it arrives?

Kitchens change plating and portions. Every photo we send carries the date it was taken, so you can tell how recent it is.
